Up for auction is a 2003 Ford Mustang GT convertible. The reason I am selling it is that I have too many cars and I am thinning the fleet. I have my eye on another car so I need to make room. (I also have a 1988 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle for sale for the same reason, I need to thin the fleet.) This car is a little bit of a fixer-upper, but the engine runs well and the transmission shifts well. The color is Dark Shadow Gray with black top and charcoal interior with the standard stereo system with CD player. This car is completely stock with the exception of a cold air kit which has been added. I will try to describe the condition of each aspect of the car as honestly and accurately as possible: Engine: 4.6L V-8 engine which runs well and which has had a recent oil change. (These engines are very reliable and run for many thousands of miles in fleet service.) Occasionally the check engine light lights up and shows a P0446 code, which is an "evaporative emissions" code. This code typically means either replace fuel filler pipe (which I have had replaced with new) or replace gas cap. I have not replaced the gas cap yet. That would be the next thing I would recommend trying to clear this up. Transmission: Automatic transmission which shifts normally, no problems whatsoever. Paint: Has several paint scratches and one scuff on the right rear quarter panel. Some paint coming off around the hood scoop, which is loose on one side but not detached. No major accidents, frame damage, etc. Interior: Charcoal interior in very good condition. Glass: Very good condition. Has factory tint which is in very good condition as well. Top: Black top in good condition with no leaks. The rear window is only in fair condition, however, as the canvas is becoming detached from the glass. Does not leak though. You can buy a rear window without replacing the entire top for this model year. Also, the top goes down normally but needs a "manual assist" to bring it back up. Electrically it works well so probably just needs hydraulic fluid added. Tires: Tires are in good condition with many miles left before replacement. Wheels: OEM Ford Mustang wheels in good condition, all wheels balance normally. Other: It needs the right front traction control wire replaced, as the wire is chafed. This wire is easy to access. The sensor seems to work normally, however. No accidents during my ownership, and also has a clean Carfax history since new. I hold a clear title on the car, no liens, so you can expect an easy transaction. Overall it is a decent car that just needs a few things sorted, nothing too difficult. In spite of the items listed above the car still looks pretty sharp. I have described this Mustang honestly to the best of my ability. I have both bought and sold cars on eBay so you can rest assured that your purchase will be handled honestly and fairly. I live near Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) if you need to fly in and drive the car home. Again, this is an overall sound car but it is not perfect, so bid accordingly. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Balance of transaction due within 7 days of auction close.
