Vehicle Detail
Offered is a 1971 Buick Skylark. The car is in good condition as I have owned it for the last 5 years and have known about the car for about 10 years before that. When I purchased the car, it had been sitting in a garage for the previous 10 years. The owner before me had gutted the interior, which turned out to be a good thing as there was nothing to hold any moisture, so the car has very solid sheet metal on the floors. There was some surface rust, but nothing that a slight sanding and prime would not take care of. The car is currently insured and has a valid Pennsylvania inspection sticker. The car runs and drive very nice as I have had the car maintained by a professional repair shop while fixing it up. Most of the body work has been finished on the car. The only major issues with the body is the holes and studs that held the trim for the vinyl roof would need to be removed as the trim pieces are long gone. Also, the rear wheel wells don't match, so one would have to be modified to duplicate the other. I have had the following repairs made to the car. New master cylinder, water pump, oil pressure switch, battery, plugs, wires, etc. The car has new 15 x 6" Rallye wheels with 70 series BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on the front and 15 x8" Rallye wheels with 60 series BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on the back. The car currently has a flat black paint job as I had not decided on a color. The interior has a new steering wheel and the seats are out of a 1972 Pontiac Le Mans and are in good condition except for the drivers seat which has a split along one of the seams. The car still has a way to go to make it really nice, but it can still be driven to cruise nights while it is being worked on. I have tried to give an honest description of the car, but please email me with any questions you may have .For safety reasons, the car must be paid for through Paypal before the title can be transferred. I can help with shipping if need be.Again, please ask any questions about the car as it is being sold as is. I have no problems if you'd like to see the car or have your mechanic look it over. I am not a mechanic so I may have missed something and don't want to misrepresent the car. Thank you.
