Vehicle Detail

I love this bike but it's time to move on. The R1100S will soon be a classic and is the best bike I have ever owned - and I've owned a lot. Look up the bike on Motorcyclenews website. I wouldn't hesitate to hop on it and ride to CA and back tomorrow. Always garaged. Stock suspension I never felt any need to upgrade. Stock screen I also think is just fine. Brake pads have plenty of miles to go. Great smooth, flat torque curved motor, sublime, stable handling. BMW quality and character. The good:Did I mention it has very low miles?Remus exhaust system (not cans it's everything past the primary stock pipes. CAT is gone. These a very rare performance accessory and are in top condition. I have the stock exhaust and will provide with bike). It's had a "canisterectomy." (You can look up BMW R-Series "canistectomy" on youtube.)Corbin "Canyon Dual Sport seat" - for some reason the seat Corbin has for this bike is listed as "dual sport." I think I have the horrible (to me ) stock seat I'll include.Lightweight Shorai batteryCarbon Fibre turn signal surroundsHard plastic cylinder head protectors (they were on the bike when I bought it - I don't know of they are OEM or not but they are an essential bit of kit)."Carbon Look" spark plug covers (BMW OEM)Tech Grip tank pads.New OEM shift linkageGivi top rackHVMP solid billet bar ends (best-in-the-business)Clear turn signals lenses all aroundAll service records the last 4 yrs I have owned the bike - always serviced by BMW dealers (except some oil changes I did myself every 3000mi).Pirelli Angel GT tires with less than 1000mi. GREAT tires. Very grippy and long lasting.Ventura headlight coverFactory Concepts carbon tank protector setNew brake fluidStoplight trigger magnet on bottom of motorLow reserve. The not-so-good:Well, it's a 16 yr old bike so it has some wear and tear.TThe engine is no longer pristine.Bodywork, if you look very closely does have a miock and scratch here and there but I would submit its way better then most at this age.Very slight scuffs on left rear body work under seat due to a low speed grass drop.Decals are a little tired. It burns very little oil but you have to top it up every few months - I am told by the tech this is normal.Right CF headlight surround has some spidering around one of the attachment screws; as does the windscreen around one of the bottom screws. It needs new gripsThe pillion seat cover has boot scuffs - one might be able to polish them out with a buffer. As I said above, it's a wonderful bike and I will be kinda sad to see it go. My loss is your gain...happy bidding! On Apr-06-15 at 16:51:26 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to a question I forgot to add to the listing: By "not pristine" I meant the motor is no longer spotlessly clean - it has some road grime in various crevasses that bugs my OCD standards. "Not pristine" has nothing to do with mechanical performance - engine is absolutely great in that respect. Hence my comment about not hesitating to ride off to California immediately on it if I wanted to.On Apr-07-15 at 10:47:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Bike might get a few more miles on it if I commute to work on it any this week.
