This 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis was purchased for use by staff at the Jefferson Co Sheriff's Office in Birmingham AL several years ago. In Jan 2011 a new factory engine and trans was installed. The engine and trans only have 61K miles on it. The clear coat on the paint is peeling. Please see all photos and we will list all known defects so review carefully. Please be advised this auction is being conducted by the JCSO in Birmingham, AL and he vehicle is available for inspection and/or test drive. Okay - what is wrong. Passenger front power window not working. All others work fine. AC not working. Blowing out defrost and not cold? Driver side mirror missing outside skin cover. Rear bumper has tear in the plastic bottom part shown in photos. Interior could use a good cleaning. Overall interior and seats in pretty good shape. Tires are about 50% tread or less. Auction of vehicle is 'as is' with no warranty implied or given. This auction is being conducted by the Jefferson Co Sheriff's Office in Birmingham, Al.
