As the original owner, I have the service history from when we bought this Avalon in Austin, Texas. The car runs fine once it gets past some annoying startup issues which are described below. It is for sale "as is" without any kind of warranty. It was hit from the rear several years ago, and the plastic bumper and trunk lid had to be replaced. Notice that the left corner of the rear bumper was later popped back out and touched up with spray paint. You should examine the vehicle if possible before bidding. The transmission does not always engage immediately when shifted into drive. Sometimes it will make a hard clunk when it does finally engage. Usually, the transmission only has a problem the first time the car is driven every day. Engine idle control is not working properly, so it starts up idling about 2,000 RPM when cold. After several minutes, the engine slows down as it warms up. Very slow leak of steering fluid somewhere. Slow leak of engine coolant at the heater control valve. Immediate service needs: Needs an oil change. Needs engine coolant change. Needs 2 new tires. Based on past experience, it will need a new battery soon. Additional information: New radiator installed on 3/13/10 at 225,255 miles. New spark plugs installed on 2/8/08 at 190,063 miles. New rear struts installed on 10/21/11 at 246,874 miles. New timing belt installed on 1/5/12 at 250,067 miles. Two new Goodyear FuelMax Weatherhandler tires mounted at 257,383 miles. The transmission is a used transmission that was installed in 2010. Nothing has ever been done to the air conditioning system, and it still works well. If payment is by check, the vehicle will not be released until the check has cleared the bank.
