Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a very nice low mileage 1972 Triumph Daytona 500cc T100R.Starts right up, runs and sounds great, and is ready to ride. One of the last vintage Daytona models in its original condition. As a result of a pending move, the starting bid price is set below average to encourage bidding. A real classic eye catcher with matching engine and frame numbers (#GG58876). Engine rebuilt 2,000 miles ago. Carbs recently rebuilt. Gas tank (Inside and Outside) in like new condition. Fenders in like new condition. Seat is in excellent condition. Please see the attached photos. Sorry for some of the sideway pictures. I could not easily figure out how to rotate the photos on the ebay format. Carbs, Lights, Gauges, Horn, Brakes, Front and Rear Wheel, Head Bearing, Fork Seals, Front and Rear Suspension, Chain, Cables, Wiring, Ignition system, Headlamp, and Handlebars are in very good condition. Front and Rear Tires are good to go for another five or more years. When I purchased the bike it had no rear handrail (Personally, I have not missed it. I prefer for my wife to hold on to me). For looks, the turn signal indicators (very good condition) were removed, and are included in the bid (fyi, easy to put back on).The engine has the typical Triumph upper end mechanical sounds. The spark plugs have good color, and the exhaust is clear. Overall, this motorcycle has been maintained religiously, and has been trouble free for years.Header pipes look good (chrome not perfect). The mufflers are painted silver with a quality high temperature paint. In addition, the right air filter cover, rear springs, front fork cap nuts, sleeve nut, and front brake lower tension lever are painted silver. In an effort to describe all issues, the clutch can be made to slip during very high RPM acceleration. Personally, this has not been an issue for me because I prefer to cruise, and rarely push the bike that hard. Most probably the clutch pressure plate nuts need to be tightened and/or the clutch plates need to be replaced. I was going to make the adjustment the next time I had to remove the primary cover for other maintenance needs in the future. Extras that I can throw in are an owner’s manual and a replacement parts catalogue. I am the third known owner and selling the bike because of a cross country move. This vintage bike is being sold as is. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. A local inspection prior to sale is welcomed. There is a clear Florida title in my name. Please only serious bidders. You must contact me if you want to bid with anything less than 10 positive feedbacks or if you have any negative feedback. Payments: A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours through paypal, and contact must be made by the buyer within 24 hours. Final payment must be received within 7 days of auction end time. Unless other arrangements are made and agreed to, final payment will be made via cashier’s check or cash in person. All funds must clear my bank prior to bike or title being released. Payment not received within this time frame will be relisted or offered as a Second-Chance Offer to another Ebay bidder. A Cancel Transaction Notification will be submitted to Ebay for your non-payment of the auction listing. All emails and invoices will be sent via Ebay's email messaging system to your registered Ebay. Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Quotes for shipping are your responsibility.
