Vehicle Detail

Auction is for a 1957 Willys Pickup, with clear title, that is in pieces however you will receive at no additional cost a Really cool Willys Pickup/Tow Truck. This is a project that needs some finishing touches however most of the heavy lifting is already done. Pretty solid however the cab has had some repairs that are less than perfect. Serial number for the Tow Truck is 55268 70575. Most of what I did was major mechanical...new timing chain and gears, new electronic distributor, rebuilt carburetor, new clutch and pressure plate with turned flywheel, new speedometer cable. I used some parts from a 1957 pickup that will also be included in the sale, specifically the T-90 trans and cross member as well as the wiper motor. Truck runs great, clutch is smooth as silk. Needs new front windshield, tail lights and other minor finishing touches. This is as close to original as it gets...she isn't fast and drives like she's 50 years old but it is really cool. You will receive clear title for the 1957 and all remaining parts from the 57..cab, frame, axles, etc. The Ramsey pto isn't hooked up but is included as well as the drive shaft to the winch. Front pusher bumper and plow included. The plow pump needs an adjustment to the check valve as it doesn't always stay up. You will also receive a brand new radiator and plastic gas tank however the ones in the truck are fine. Buyer could use the Tow Truck as parts Truck to refurbish the 1957...just a thought. Thanks for looking, good luck bidding! On Mar-20-15 at 16:00:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear, you will be getting both trucks...The 1957 and the Tow Truck which I believe is a 1962. The Tow Truck is complete aside from some finishing that I mentioned and the 1957 is in pieces but has clear title. On Mar-22-15 at 08:00:11 PDT, seller added the following information: The tow truck does not have a title. The title I have is for the 1957 that is in pieces. The tow truck needs finishing touches like the lights, windshield, door handles and window cranks but the major stuff is good, engine runs well, clutch is new and smooth, trans is fine with new gear lube, 4x4 works fine and has lock-out hubs. I was planning on plowing with it this winter so I installed a new heater valve on the firewall and installed a new blower motor. the 1957 rolling chassis (frame) has the axles and suspension, the engine is here but needs a complete rebuild, cab, fenders, box and tailgate are rusty. The transfer case and transmission were used for the tow truck but what is left is here and will be included in the sale. Tailgates for both are included, the blue one is still on the bed and the one for the tow truck needs to be painted. The radio cover for the tow truck needs to be painted, the one for the 1957 is still on the dash. I recently bought some new parts that come with it too including the shifter boots and windshield wipers. I also have a box of original pieces that come with the sale too including the rear view mirror, some window crank handles, inside window trim etc.On Mar-25-15 at 11:54:58 PDT, seller added the following information: The Tow Truck also has a new Brake Master Cylinder and a rebuilt Generator. She needs full choke to start, once running you just adjust choke to tune and she runs nice. Seems to run best choked a bit, please keep in mind this is a 60 year old truck.
