I am selling my 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible. This Mustang was just brought out of storage and has not been used since 1982. This Mustang has a rare white knitted vinyl interior with dealer installed air. This mustang also has power steering, power disc brakes, 8 track AM/FM stereo and a power roof. The mustang is equipped with a 302 V8 mated up with a C-4 auto transmission. What a beautiful color combination! Medium Aqua Blue with a white interior and a white top. Ok! so here's the details! The good is that this mustang is all original and nothing has been modified or changed. I changed the motor oil, did a tune up, replaced the vacume lines, and it fired right up. the spark plugs were not oil fouled and were in ok condition. The engine makes no odd noises, and no smoke. The transmission does have a leak in the output shaft and shift linkage seal, but when I filled it up with fluid it shifted just fine through all gears up to 55mph. The convertible top is new and has a rear glass window. The operation of the top works great! Timing marks do not jump around and the vacuum pressure is good. I have been under this Mustang and no evidence that the car has any collision repair done. So what does it need? Engine: I would recommend new belts, hoses, harmonic balancer, motor mounts, and a good detail. Transmission; Change fluid and filter, and install new output shaft seal, linkage seal, and transmission mount. Body; Rust is in the rear lower quarters, and in the trunk extensions. One small hole the diameter of your finger on the drivers and passenger floor. Balance of floor solid! Some small rust holes are found door striker area as well. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS AND NOTICE I USED MY FINGER TO GIVE A SIZE REFERENCE. most of the rust on this Mustang can be treated cut out and patched. The Mustang will require a complete paint job. The body is very straight and all the door jams, hood and trunk line up beautifully. Interior; The interior needs a complete set of seat covers, door panels, rear interior quarters, and carpet. The steering wheel is in great shape! no cracks. The dash is in great shape! no cracks. drivers seat is broken! I am trying to describe this Mustang as accurate as possible. I don't want anyone to be caught off guard. I know the list is overwhelming, but if someone were to restore this Mustang back to original you should have a solid investment.
