Vehicle Detail

2005 Honda Accord LX Sedan, 2.4L 4-cyl, 5-speed Manual transmission, 65K miles (There are snow flurries in some of the pictures. I can get different pictures if desired. I also have a link to more images that I can send upon request.) Up for sale is a 2005 Honda Accord LX sedan with a 2.4L 4-cyl engine and 5-speed manual transmission. It only has 65,200 miles on it and I am the second owner of the car. If you are looking for a low-mile Accord in great condition to just get in and drive for a very, very long time, you’ve found it. I bought this car in August of 2013 with a little over 40,000 miles on it. It is a Florida car and has only seen one Michigan winter (I flew to Orlando and drove it back). I have all service records for the car. The previous owner primarily drove it on the highway as a traveling salesman during the first few years of ownership and then got a company car, driving it sparingly before I bought it. I bought the car to commute from Saline to Detroit for work and 90-95% of the miles I put on the car have been highway miles. Nearly all of the car’s 65K miles are highway miles and it easily returns 30+ mpg highway. I have a log of every drop of gas that I have put into the car so you can see how many miles I was driving each week. I am only selling it because I now have a job locally and bought a Miata to enjoy on my short commute. The Accord has genuine Honda Accessory 16-inch wheels with a great set of Michelin all-season tires. The tires are 65,000-mile tires that start out at 9.5/32nds of an inch new. They are currently at about 8/32nds of an inch. I recently put new front brake pads and rotors on it. The original pads were FAR from worn out, still had about 50% life, but the rotors had a pulsation in them and I decided to put new pads on while installing the new rotors. I still have the original pads if you’d like to see them. The brake job was done the proper way, greasing a lubing the caliper slides and carriages. There was actually a Honda Service Bulletin regarding the brake pulsation issue on these original brakes. The rear drum brakes have 75% life remaining. Car has a fresh alignment and the wheels were just balanced, to a tenth of an ounce (most places do a quarter of an ounce). I do have a set of Michelin X-ice snow/winter tires on their own set of rims available for an additional cost to the buyer. Since owning it, I have only used Mobil1 synthetic oil and Wix (Napa Gold) oil filters. I have changed it more frequently than the Honda-required 10K mile intervals. Usually changed every 7-8K miles. I just did a fresh Mobil1 synthetic oil and Wix filter change at 65K miles, so it is good to go for another 8K miles or more if you choose. The cabin air filter has also been changed. The interior is in excellent condition and looks almost new. I did add an iPod and MP3 connector to the stock stereo. There is both the iPod connector that will charge you Apple device and a 3.5mm headphone input for other devices. The car will come with a Honda trunk liner that has been in the car since new. The exterior is also in great condition, no dents or dings. No cracked or chipped glass. There are two imperfections, one on the front left corner of the hood where a piece of paint got chipped off last winter. I have touched it up with genuine Honda touch up paint. The bottle will come with the car. The second imperfection is the paint on the rear bumper has some “spider cracking.” The bumper itself is not damaged, but I was lightly bumped during a stop-and-go traffic jam on I-94. At the time I didn’t see any damage and we did have the police come. Later, I found the paint cracks below the clearcoat surface. With the darker Graphite Grey Pearl paint, you don’t see it unless you are a foot or two away from the car. The paint on the bumper is not chipping or coming off the car. The car will come with the factory owner’s manual pack, original window sticker, two working Honda key fobs, wheel lock key, and service records. Again, I do have an excellent set of Michelin snow tires on their own rims for an additional cost. There is also a full set (front and rear) of WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liners available for extra. Please contact me with any questions or to set up a time to see the car. Thanks for looking.
