Vehicle Detail

Bought this car with the intention of restoring it a few years ago. What attracted me was that it had no rust whatsoever and was always garaged in Riverside County. The guy I bought it from was planning to put a 350 in it as the original 305 blew a head gasket. I bought it as a project with the intention to install an SB2 into it but never got to it and now it has to go to make room in the garage for another vehicle. It is in the same condition other than I live in Huntington Beach near the ocean so there is surface rust on some of the non- painted places you would expect like the differential and exhaust system. The sheet metal is all good with no rust or pitting, you will not need to replace any sheet metal. I show one photo underneath the car showing the floor pan, that is how the underside looks. Please note that this is the original ugly gold paint job. The car has never been repainted and there is no bodywork. There are a few small dings on the driver door but nothing major. If you need close-ups email me for pics. I planned to repaint the car and for that purpose and to get CA smog, I bought a rebuilt 305. I have rebuilt several 350’s so since I am one of those guys that don’t trust someone else’s engine work, I took the pan and valve covers off and made sure all the clearances are correct. There is picture showing the engine on the stand. I did not take the heads off but was told the block was bored 30 over. From the looks of it everything appear fresh. I received and kept the original 305 block, heads, sump and crank if you were planning to make this a numbers matching car. It comes with the sale. Registration was lapsed so I had to pay $900 to get it up to date. I found a DMV that was willing to knock it down to $333 so the registration is up to date and the title is free and clear. I have it on CA non-op. There are no back fees if you plan to register in CA. The interior is in very good condition as you can see. The dash does not have a single crack and you can see that it has not been molested. This light tan contrast really well with metallic blue or red. Comes with a Sony CD player. The mileage is 82k and original to the blown 305. The carpet looks faded so that is probably something you may want to replace. I am basically out of time and can not complete this project so selling it as a unfinished project as is. There is no guarantee or warranty implied or given. Please feel free to come by for a hands on inspection before the close of auction, not after. Once you have the high bid, you own it. The new rebuilt 305 is installed but all the accessories need to be hooked up. It comes with every little smog pipe etc, aircleaner carb etc to get it back to original to pass smog. I need the garage space immediately so if you are the winning bidder, then pickup needs to happen from Feb 17th to Feb 20th (I am out of town from close of auction Feb 11 to Feb 16th) if it goes to the highest bidder. I am available for this week until Feb 11th for inspection. If you won with the buy it now then payment and pickup needs to be before Feb 11th. I require a non-refundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours of close of auction and payment in full with the buy it now. I can not store this car after Feb 20th and neither can I have it in my driveway as I was already cited for having a non op vehicle in my driveway. Please do not bid if you can not pickup on Feb 17th to Feb 20th or before Feb 11th with the buy it now. If you want to ship, then I will assist. The only thing that appears to be missing is a battery, the trim rings, 2 of the center caps, the cigarette lighter and the little plastic trim squares on the door pull handles . This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to turn this into something special given the condition of the body and interior, or you could restore it to original. No reserve auction, highest bidder gets it. Ask if you need a photo of the title or any paperwork etc. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to sell it before close of auction. Absolutely no international or HI or AL shipping, 48 US states only. Happy Bidding. No bidders with feedback less than 5 unless you email me first. I will cancel your bid if less than 5
