For sale is a 1973 formula 400 4 speed car, it was a 2 owner car when i bought it and the last owner had it since 1975!! It is a barn find car and has sat for the last 20 years, and needs completely restored. I did get it running and completely rebuilt the front brakes, but the clutch needs replaced, so it does run but does not drive, it will shift through all the gears. The engine sounds strong and seems to run great. It has black deluxe interior that looks like it would clean up good, seat covers would need replaced on the drivers side, the car will need to be restored, it will need door skins, rear quarters, lower fenders, one spot in the floor on the passenger side and rear frame rails are soft at the bottom, i believe the car to be all original and numbers matching although i have not had a chance to verify that for sure. I started working on the wiring to get it started and have got all the lights working, there is one wire to the ignition that will still need attention, i just jumped it to the battery for now to start it, tires are shot and will need replaced, front z28 wheels do not go with the car, it will include the factory pontiac wheels. Thanks for looking.On Feb-04-15 at 19:26:45 PST, seller added the following information: I have been getting a lot of emails for more pictures and the vin #, for some reason ebay wouldn't let me enter the vin when i was listing it so here it is, 2U87T3N132179 and i will get more pictures uploaded on friday, thanks.On Feb-07-15 at 14:23:18 PST, seller added the following information: I went to where the car is being stored to get some more pictures, but we have got a lot of snow here lately and it blew into the building so the pictures are not the greatest, the odometer was at 77k not 72, which i really believe to be the actual mileage, i also tried to find the vin number on the engine block but it is next to the timing chain cover which has the radiator hose and such blocking it and was not visible, i honestly believe the car is numbers matching, the guy i bought it from said they never had the engine or transmission out of the car and they owned it since 1975, there is also detailed maintenance records in the glove box, there was only 10,123 or so formulas produced in 1973, im not sure how many were 350's or 400's automatics or manual, but im guessing the majority of them were not 400 4 speed cars. as stated above i have had the car running and all the gauges were working, the glass is all there and good.
