Vehicle Detail
My wife has decided that it is time to sell some of my toys so I am offering to the highest bidder, my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. I bought this car in 2002 and worked on it for the next 10 years. It is NOT ORIGINAL, and the NUMBERS DO NOT MATCH. The motor that was in the car when I bought it was worn out so I bought another car with a Mr. Good Wrench 350 C.I. motor (37,400 miles, with a 2 barrel carburetor), and installed the complete motor into the Camaro. I had the transmission seals replaced before installation and also replaced the clutch, pressure plate, water pump, all belts, hoses, wires, plugs, starter, and fluids at the same time. In 2006, I hired a professional to partially disassemble the car, repair the minimally rusted areas on the bottom of the fenders with metal repair patches, and repaint the entire car in the original Garnet Red color. I then had a new windshield installed. The next necessary repair was the front suspension, including ball joints, bushings, and alignment. Next, I had new brakes installed on all 4 wheels. A modern AM/FM/CD radio was professionally installed that did not destroy the dash. I had the black vinyl driver's seat repaired and replaced the headliner. The door panels and the carpets are good. The window glass is good. The tires still show good thread depth but they have been on the car since 2002. After the restoration was completed, I parked it in the barn and have driven it very little since, and realize that I am not driving it enough to prevent deterioration. The speedometer runs fast and the odometer is not accurate. The Camaro is located in San Angelo, Texas and I invite your inspection. For additional information or specific pictures, you may call Dwain at 325/656-8154. I have a clean, clear Texas Title in my name, in hand. I am starting the bidding at $18,000.00 with no reserve. If Buyer desires, delivery is available anywhere in the Continental United States for $2.25 per one- way mile. I can honestly describe this car as a very nice restoration but must admit that it is not perfect. It is, however, dependable enough to be a daily driver and certainly classic enough to be an excellent investment.
