Vehicle Detail

96 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1970 Datsun 240Z VIN number HLS30-00797 Up for auction is my low VIN 1970 Datsun 240Z……. #797 The car is in wonderful condition and looks and drives GREAT! Finished in the original 904 Kilimanjaro White with Blue interior. I (depending on your definition) restored the car back to original condition. There is no rust in the car and the interior is like stepping back in time. The engine runs wonderful and shifts perfect. I tried to put everything back the way it was when it rolled off the showroom floor as I do not like modifying classic cars. With that being said my 240 does have Konig wheels and an after market exhaust. It also has electronic ignition and an Optima battery. Other than that it should be bone stock. I could write pages and pages on this car, but if you’re a serious buyer you may just want to call me or come see it in person. I’m a classic car guy, not a dealer. I buy, collect, restore, refurbish, drive and sell cars as a hobby. I’ve had the Z for 7 years and it’s time to move on to another project. I always wanted a lower VIN 240Z but most of my joy came from the 2 year resto/refurb. Now, before you start bidding let me tell you everything wrong with the car. I have NEVER sold a car to anyone who I didn’t first try to talk them out of it. Why…..because when you’re selling 40+ year old cars folks seem to think they should be perfect or ride like a late model vehicle……..or when they see “restored” that it’s a 100 point concours car. I just want you to know everything I’m aware of. First, I don’t have to the sell the car…… the kids are in college and I am gainfully employed and still married. I am just ready for a new adventure. So what else does this incredible low VIN 1970 Datsun 240Z still need? *The radio is just a façade, it’s an original radio but it doesn’t work because it’s just for looks. *The power antenna is not installed. *The passenger window crank will fall off if the door is slammed. *The rear hatch carpet has a few “bulb burns”. The genius owner left them lying on the carpet when he was driving around the block testing them. They get pretty hot when you’re at a stop sign. *There may be a few scratches in the paint. I have driven it to many shows and you can’t keep it perfect, but you would have to look hard. *The interior map light and clock do not work. *Dash has a full dash cover. *The wiper motor is SLOW. I have the original E31 block that goes with the car (see photos) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I know I would never make it as a used car dealer as I’m too honest. Again, not the way to “move” a car but the way I like to sell them. Ask any questions you may have, or send me an email with your phone number and I’ll call you. I can also give you the restoration shop number should you desire to speak with them about the car. I have a clean clear TN title in hand. I will gladly assist with shipping in or out of the USA. Funds must be cleared before the car goes anywhere. All buyers must wait for cashier checks to clear or confirmation of bank wire transfer. Bottom line……the car isn’t moving until funds are 100% verified. Thanks for looking.
