2005 Volvo XC90 2.5t Pennant Motors is pleased to present this beautiful 2005 Volvo XC90. For those who haven't driven an XC90, they are about the most comfortible cars ever made. The seats are almost too comfy to describe. These also feature Volvo's proven and legendary turbocharged 5 cylinder low-pressure turbocharged engine. These are the perfect balance of great fuel economy, incredible reliability, and excellent power. This is a particularly special XC90 for several reasons. Primarily because it is a front wheel drive model. This allows for significantly improved fuel economy, while eliminating the sometimes-troublesome all wheel drive components from the car. The fuel economy is increased for two reasons. First of all, power is not being spent on driving all four wheels, and secondly, the all wheel drive system weighs several hundred pounds. Less weight = better mileage. The best part is that these cars are still awesome in the winter. It features Dynamic Stability and Traction Control, and its transverse engine layout puts a significant amount of weight over the front wheels which allows for better front wheel traction.If you've been looking for a front wheel drive XC90, you may have noticed that most of them aren't very well equipped. This car is a huge exception. It has every possible option except for navigation. It's also finished in the fairly rare Ash Gold color. This is the first XC90 we've ever had in this color. The one last thing that makes this car particularly special is that it's from the south. This is why it's front wheel drive in the first place. It spent its entire life in the south up until about a year and a half ago. This XC90 has also had just ONE doctor OWNER since new. We also have a tremendous amount of service history which will be passed along to the new buyer. The interior of this XC0 is in fantastic condition. It has arena (tan) leather XC heated seats with beautiful wood accents on the dash and door panels. This is probably the nicest interior of any XC90 we've ever had, and we have sold MANY of these cars since we specialize in Volvos. The car has the "Premium Sound" Alpine audio system upgrade which sounds excellent. Volvo spent over 5 years developing this sound system which features only the highest quality components. It has a 325 watt amplifier, Dolby ProLogic 2 Surround Sound, 14 speakers with woven kevlar cones and rubber surrounds, and an in-dash 6-disc CD changer. It is probably one of the best sounding audio systems on the market. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters or ash trays, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages, as well as a cup holder built into each front door. There are also several in the rear of the car. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags, and curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. It's got the WHIPS whiplash protection system as well which prevents whiplash in the event of a rear-end collission. The XC90s feature a an active-rollover stability system which uses the stability control system to prevent the car from rolling. It is virtually impossible to roll an XC90. It also features rain sensitive windshield wipers, along with heated mirrors and headlight wipers, which are part of the climate package. This XC90 also has the higly sought after versatility package. This includes the spacious third row seat which makes the car a true 7 passenger, and also includes a highly versatile integrated child booster seat. The booster seat can be used in multiple ways. It is in the center of the second row seats. The bottom of the seat raises up to become a booster seat, and the seat itself slides forward all the way so that the child is seated almost between the two front seats. The rearmost section of the center console is also removeable to accommodate the childs legs. You can also leave the seat in the rear position and simply use it as a standard booster seat. It's all up to you! The versatility package also includes fully controllable headphone jacks in the rear seat positions that allow the rear passengers to listen to whichever audio source they prefer. For example, you can listen to a CD over the car's speakers while a rear passenger listens to the FM radio over headphones. This XC90 also has the DVD-based rear seat entertainment system with LCD Screens in the back of the headrests. The DVD player is located in the rear of the center console for easy access to the rear seat passengers. The exterior of this XC90 is in remarkably good condition, and Ash Gold in color. The exterior of the car is actually in very nice condition, and there aren't any major flaws to note. As I mentioned before, Ash Gold is actually very difficult to find on the XC90. 2005 is the final year for this color, and it was typically only used on the XC70. I think it looks awesome on the XC90. The paint looks fantastic! The 18 inch 'Atlantis" alloy wheels are an optional upgrade, and look fantastic. The driver's front wheel has some paint peeling on it that does not detract from the car's overall appearance. Additionally, this XC90 has fantastic Bi-Xenon Gas Discharge headlamps which make night driving a pleasure. Overall, this is a great looking XC90. It's important to note that it also has rear parking sensors which are a fantastic feature when parking in tight spaces. The tires all have very good tread remaining. They are matching Goodyears and are almost new. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.5 Liter low pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission is also excellent. This is a low mileage vehicle when it comes to Volvos. In fact, I personally drive an XC90 which has almost 250,000 miles on the odometer. It still runs and drives brilliantly, and it looks great. As long as you keep up on fluid changes and basic maintenance, these cars will reward you by running forever - especially in front wheel drive form! The costly timing belt service was just completed at 109,000 miles, and won't be due again until 219,000 miles!
