I am selling a nice project for someone. Very nice 1998 Tacoma, with all the right options, 4X4, SR5, Extended cab, Auto, V6, A/C, P/W, P/L. It has 156,000 miles on it. This truck runs and drives great.... BUT, it does suffer from that dreaded frame rust from this time period. It has a rust issue on both sides of the frame in the rear bed area. The driver side is in need of repair to be able to continue using this truck, the passanger side is not to bad, and not in need of urgent repairs. There are several different repair kits offered for repairing this area, The kits seem to cost around $100 per side, and can be found on the internet. This truck is sold AS IS, and I encourage anyone interested in it to please contact me to come see the truck before bidding. If you are bidding, plan to pay that amount. The truck has a small dent on the passanger rear bed, It also has a fair amount of nicks, and scratches. It has some dings in the hood from an oak tree. Overall it is pretty nice with paint that still shines, no rips in the interior, tires in good condition, new exuast... This truck also runs great, with no knocks, taps, or smoke. The trans shifts great, even the A/C works. Also there are no major leaks from anything . I would be very open to an offer on this truck, and willing to add a Buy it now. I also have this truck advertised locally, so this auction could end if a local buyer purchases it. Pick up, and transportation is up to the buyer. No, all of the sheet metal is very nice with no rust issues at all. The rust problem is limited to the frame as stated. I have also been asked if it is drivable.
