Here is a 1997 BMW 318is with a manual transmission. I am selling it because my son is getting married and moving out of the country for the next couple years. He has plenty of other things to do at the moment. The car is currently inspected, registered, and insured. It has a clear title. All service history paperwork is available. My son is the second owner having purchased purchased this car from the original owner in the fall of 2009. She always had it serviced at Flemington BMW. My son lived and worked in central PA and always had it serviced by a reputable BMW specialist. The car is at my home in Basking Ridge. Unique vehicle features: 5-speed manual transmission Heated seats Fabric seats (this was done special order) Sun roof Color - This is the original factory paint No check engine lights Parts replaced when I got the vehicle: Radiator Water pump Serpentine belt Thermostat Parts replaced more recently: Clutch Catalytic converter Brake calipers Brake rotors Radiator Four nice Kumho tires Battery Where the car needs some help: - Lights on the dash are because the front wheel speed sensors need cleaned/replaced - Headliner is falling down - I have glue to repair it - A/C does not work - leading suspicion is it is whatever component is under the dash. I think it is the evaporator. The heat works very well. - Vehicle overheats after a long time of driving. After running at temperature for a while, it will slowly start to creep up. Leading suspicion is there is not enough flow of coolant. Probably due to a water pump problem. I have been able to drive the vehicle around town with no problem. If my son was not moving he would have the vehicle repaired and continue driving it. It is a fun zippy car that drives like a dream. It starts right up. Doesn't shake. The transmission is excellent. It gets over 30 mpg combined highway/city.
