(American and Import Auto Parts) is proud to offer, yet another great opportunity to the public on an insurance flood car at a no reserve highest bidder auction(now buy it now price available) .Normally we , or the insurance company would send this car to a "Dealer only" type of auction for bidding. This limits the public from owning such great cars like this one in particular.In some cases, you have to know somebody that is a dealer to bid on a car like this. Then you have the auctioneer and other high costing fees to deal with but, not here. With that being said, here is what we do know about the car. What's wrong with it. This is a "flood", salvaged title car. Simply put, sold "as is condition" type of purchase. It was a rain freshwater (torrential rainfall) type of flood.Once again: (water damage is water damage right ?) NO, not at all Is there a difference you ask?Of Course, there is a difference. Salt water flooded cars, they will have corroded wires, modules and other electrical items. Freshwater incidencies , the items get wet, but still have a good chance of working again without corrosion. Not to mention the salt stains do not come out easily. Still, you say...there is mildew to deal with.?In some cases, yes. However, this car does not have mildew or foul odors. The exterior got wet from our Michigan snow covered roads before it arrived here at our location. That is why it appears to be a little dirty. Moving on...The MKZ did power up, all of the items we turned on, worked great. As an example; the dash controls, the radio, the headlights and etc.The motor started and we drove this car around in the parking lot. Has a lot of power to the engine. Unfortunately, The motor will not start unless you jump it with a set of cables or a battery jump box. Not sure what that is all about. We simply used a jump box to start the motor over and to power up the electronics. There was some water in the cab on the floor of the car when we received it from the insurance company. It had a damp floor. There is water in the headlights, they are not lighting up when you turn the headlight switch on. The hazard lights stay blinking, we can't shut them off. Someone removed the radio amplifier from the trunk, that is why we couldn't get sound from the radio. The radio controls worked perfectly though.The seat, controls worked great, the heater temp. control worked great too. Someone also removed the center console lid, but we did not see anything missing from it, that we could tell. There is some dirt inside the cab of the car, you can see this in the pictures too. The water has evaporated from the cab floor. Conclusion Once again, this is a great opportunity for some lucky bidder to own this LINCOLN MKZ at an inexpensive price. Once again,we are offering this at a " no reserve auction" highest bidder wins. The car is in great shape with decent miles, in our opinion. It will just need some repair work to get it back on the road. Im sure there is someone wanting a new(used) car as a Christmas gift on your list this year. All kidding aside, We are a business selling this car with a dealers license. So, please expect that, if you are local, you will be subjected to doc and tax fees. We will take care of the title for you. We have that in hand. Out of state customers will be required to pay their taxes at the sold price at there DMV.There is a $500 deposit immediately following the end of the auction well, at the maximum pay the deposit within 24hrs of the last winning bid. This is a NON refundable deposit. The buyer will and does assume all responsibility of the vehicle once paid in full. This is an "AS IS" conditional sale. We feel we have included all important information about the vehicle and what could be wrong with it to the best of our ability .
