This bike was produced August 1971 from the Vin number I believe it is a 1972 model it was sold as new in 1973 and title as a 1973 model bike This was purchased new as a collectors item This has never had gas put in it it's never been run it has never had a battery installed, the factory battery is included as new in the box without acid The fuel tank smells like new plastic, not fuel. This auction includes the 1973 clear Wisconsin title, the bill of sale from the dealership, and a handwritten log by the original owner from 1977 until 1991 detailing when he rotated the tires as well as oiling the cylinder and turning the engine over by hand. This is always been kept in a climate controlled environment never stored near sunlight, it has always had a dustcover and has never needed to be cleaned Being a CT 70 H model it is obviously a four speed manual transmission with a manual clutch All the small details are there including a complete tool kit, an owners manual, the bill of sale from the dealer, and the title, and four factory keys. The bottom (underside) of the kickstand has perfect paint not scratched This motorcycle has never been sat on, the foot pegs have never had feet on them. The odometer currently reads between 1.6 and 1.7 miles, The bill of sale from the dealer shows it was delivered with 1.6 miles on the odometer. I have lifted and carried the bike when I needed to move it I have not rolled it. There is a scratch in the paint on the left upper fork tube I took a close-up you can see it in the pictures there is also an odd factory paint flaw that extends under one of the decals, you can also see this clearly in the pictures Everything you would expect from a find of this nature is present, all of the ink marks on the nuts on the rims the ink mark on the master link of the chain all the cotter keys are perfect all the cables are perfect all of the plastics are perfect and unfaded There are ink stamps on the side walls of the tires, the tires themselves are as new. This little Honda has been intentionally and deliberately preserved from the day it was purchased new. I believe that distinction is a large difference from other low mileage examples. The DOT date on the sidewall of the tries is: TEA271 These tires were manufactured February of 1971. This corresponds well with a build date of August 1971
