This 1975 L-82 fully optioned Corvette Roadster is one of very few painted in gold as Chevrolet had a problem with the paint so they halted production of this color and limited it to approximately 116 units. *1975 was the last year of the convertible for many years. The original owner sold the car at auction in 1990 to a well-known Ferrari racing enthusiast in Corona, California and it was added to his museum collection. His long time mechanic, who took care of his collection, which included many Pebble Beach entries, retired in 1991 and he gave him the Corvette as a retirement gift. At 82 years of age, he decided he had more use for the money than the car and I bought it from him with 6300 miles on it in 1993. The President of Bloomington Gold was kind enough to evaluate the car for me in 2008 and was in agreement that the car was all original as it came from the factory except of course for the battery and tires, and was indeed a rare example of an extremely low mile, well preserved original 1975 Corvette. This fully optioned car includes, L-82 package, power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, AM/FM radio. leather interior, M-21 4-speed transmission, shoulder seat belts, luggage rack, central alarm, and optional vinyl hardtop. This extremely rare example would qualify for Bloomington Gold status and certainly be a candidate for a Benchmark Award. You will not find a finer example of an original 1975 Corvette L-82 Roadster!
