1985 Subaru XT Turbo! This is one of the rarest 80's relics ever! These turbos had a thin spot on the head that could eventually corrode and leak coolant, I had the head replaced when I first got it. Also new thermostat, belts and had the coolant system flushed.- Interior is 9/10. It looks nearly new for a 30 year old car, just a couple dash cracks in the back.- Body is 9/10- just some dings in the paint & a small bend at the bottom-right of the door (can't see it). decals still strong, paint shiny and attention-grabbing.- Headlights go up & down (very slick looking)- SUNROOF! Removable panel sunroof fits flatly in the trunk & still gives room for storage.- 2 door, 4 seater, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE (rare on these)- Upgraded stereo with USB/Ipod/Mp3 capability & built in preamp for LOUD music- 4 Cylinders / GREAT ON GAS (25-30 MPG if you don't drive like it's stolen)- ALL ORIGINAL!- Comes with a car cover!The Bad:- There is still a coolant leak somewhere after the new head was installed. I think there is coolant leaking into a cylinder and the head may need re-seating to fix this (the damn mechanic didn't do it right).- It can idle pretty rough right now sometimes, due to the coolant leak.- Overheating pretty quickly, due again to the damn coolant leak I don't have to the time/tools/patience to fix. - Someone used "Blue Devil" (another reason I flushed the coolant system & replaced the head) and the overflow coolant tank has some solidified in it, but still works.- One or two loose buttons on the jet-fighter style steering column.LONG STORY SHORT: This car is very retro-future looking & has a crazy digital dashboard with animations of the car driving & things you've never seen before. It's a zippy turbo that can really blast off from a stop light. The car was designed by jet engineers & was the most aerodynamic vehicle in the world back in good old 1985.If you're a fan of the rarest, peppiest 80's Subaru 4 Cylinder Turbo that ever existed, but don't mind paying for a little work or doing it yourself, you have a potential show car. If I didn't have a kid on the way I wouldn't ever sell this car, but i simply don't have any time to work on it now...Give me an email or call to setup a time to check it out.
