1965 Mustang FastbackCompletely rust free 1965 Mustang Fastback. I purchased this car right after all of the metal work was complete so I can vouch for the quality of the work. It needed everything else done so here it is - all done within the last 2 years:302 engine was rebuilt at Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland, GA. E303 cam, Holley 4 barrel carb and Edelbrock intake. Sounds incredible and has less than 500 miles on it. They also converted the distributor to electronic to get rid of the points.C4 automatic transmission with shift kit and 2500 stall converter was also rebuilt at Jacky Jones at the same time as the engine.Rear end was just replaced with new 3.0 gears and and a posi traction unit. Less than 100 miles on this work. New axle seals installed as well.The entire drive line is basically brand new and is reliable enough to be a daily driver!Aluminum radiator has no problem keeping the engine cool even in the hot Georgia summer.Chrome headers and 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust with stainless trumpet tips out the rear valanceUnisteer power rack and pinion steeringPower brakes - disc in front, drums in rearVintage Air system keeps it ice cold and the heater works great too. This car can be driven year round!New interior: seat covers, head liner, door panels, carpet, 1966 gauges, Rally Pac gauges with 8000 RPM tach, Retro Sound AM/FM with auxiliary and USB inputs, kick panels with molded in speakers (dash speakers as well), Shelby style wooden steering wheel, rear folding seat chrome trim and courtesy lights, seat belts. Dynamat type sound/heat material installed throughout floor pan.Magnum 500 15 inch wheels with new tiresFront coil springs, upper and lower control arms and rear leaf springs all came from Mustangs Unlimited. Monroe front and rear shocks.Body is laser straight with Bright Silver Metallic paint with clear coat. The front fenders are aftermarket and the gaps are not perfect but are fine. The paint job was $1200 and you can tell the difference between this and a $5000 paint job. It has an incredible shine but is not a concourse show winner. It will do great at a local car show however!Previous owner replaced the floor pans and trunk pan, front fenders and rear quarter patches and did an outstanding job. He also replaced the torque boxes. All the typical places you expect to find rust. This Mustang needs nothing and can be driven reliably daily. This is the first year for the fastback, now 50 years old, and will only go up in value. You will be proud to own this and no one else will have one like it.
