Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda V45 Sabre motorcycle, excellent condition with Hannigan fairing, Tour Master detachable saddle bags, Bad Boy air horn, and custom Corbin seat, 30,000 miles. New cam chain tensioners, new ignition system, Barnett Kevlar clutch, rebuilt carbs, oil mod kit, highway bars, excellent Avon tires, new brake rotors/pads, rebuilt brake master cylinder, calipers, fork seals, and SS brake lines. Many new switches, aux lighting, etc. Custom painted and all other work completed in 2013. Too many new items to list, and comes with extra parts if you want them. This bike is road worthy and very comfortable to ride. Always garaged, and has never been in an accident. Wet spots on drive are water from washing bike does not drip. Email any questions. A question was asked yesterday. I thought the answer would be beneficial for any interested person. It did not post as I requested so I am adding it here for all to view: Dear aj307ce, Which of the two bikes you have on is the nicer. Help me out. I plan to own one of them. Reply: Each one is a little unique. The black one is a slightly more laid back. It has a taller gear in the rear so it spins about 500 RPM slower at 70... feels great cruising at higher speeds. The copper feels more sporting and responds noticeably faster. I can't really say that the faster spinning motor is a problem as they are incredibly smooth. I have run for hours at 80 mph with both very comfortably. Both offer very good wind protection, plenty of air so you don't feel stuffy but no blast. I ride with the face shield off my full face helmet all summer. The black bike was updated from stock in 2009 and I rode it primarily for the first few years. In 2012 I got a bug to find a Hannigan fairing and put it on my second V45 while I was conducting a bunch of other updates to it. I found one in CT, and with the help of Jerry Heil at Hannigan Fairing, got all the parts to modify it to fit, restore it, and mount it, about $800. After it was finished I was so blown away that I decided to have the bike painted. So I had a body shop professionally prep and paint all of the body parts, $2000, in Dodge, copperhead pearl, then I had to have nice bags on my road bike. The choke is a little sensitive on it, which has not been a problem for me, other than that, they both run great. Both have had primarily all the same improvements, noted in the descriptions. The copper was just done last summer so all the items listed were done about 5000 miles ago. Even though they have some years, I think both will be reliable for some time. If I'm feeling like a sporting ride around the curves I will take the copper. If I am out with my wife I usually take the black one. I'm perfectly happy to be on either one at any time. Having both has served me for over 40,000 miles since 2008 when I got them. They were fun to work on are fun and to ride. Tomorrow I'm renting a car to drive to Detroit so I can ride my R1200RT home. Thanks for your interest, enjoy, - aj307ce
