Vehicle Detail

***LOW RESERVE***1972 914/4 1.7 Liter I recently purchased this car locally with the intention of restoring her. Unfortunately I now need the money for other priorities. The list below describes the car the best that I know. Feel free to email me questions and I will respond as soon as I can. * The targa top is not pictured but is in perfect shape. The car also comes with a fitted cover. ENGINE:The engine was recently rebuilt, I have no records of this. The previous owner stated that it was rebuilt on the side by a mechanic with Bob Hinson Porsche. I have not noticed the engine leaking or burning oil. The Weber carbs run a little rich, but run great. The car starts right up each morning, and has been driven almost daily over the last few months that I have owned it. The odometer only shows 5 digits and currently reads 29,685, I have not idea how many miles the engine has. TRANSMISSION:5 speed long tail shifter. Shifts a little sloppy like a typical long tail shifter. I bought a new bushing kit, but have not installed. Shifter knob is loose and cracked, should be replaced. INTERIOR:Interior in really good shape. Not sure how original. The driver door handle is with the car and needs to be installed. Few cracks on the dash. Radio looks to be original, has power but looks like the antenna is not hooked up. I replaced the ignition tumbler with a new one. The key broke off in the old one. It needs a new tumbler for the driver door, I have the original but it is missing the part that keeps it in the door. EXTERIOR:Original paint color, looks like it was repainted some time ago. The only rust spots I found are in the pics. It looks really clean underneath, and I can't see any rust in the typical problem areas. The battery tray is rust free. The rubber piece for the front bumper is in good shape just needs to be installed. Wheels and tires in great shape. HISTORY:The previous owner brought the car to Kansas from the east coast. He said the car was originally from Canada but did not know when it came here to the US.
