Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1972 Ford F100 Pickup Resto-Mod Daily Driver for a friend. The truck starts, runs and drives nicely. This pick up has a clear Kansas title. The owner rescued this pickup from barnyard storage and returned it to use as a daily driver. A frame off restoration was NOT done. The project was a cleanup, repair/replacement, and paint job to make it a safe and reliable daily driver. This pick-up is a very nice looking head turner as the pictures show. The brake system upgrade included new brake lines, new brake hoses, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes & retaining springs and the brake drums turned. New radius arm bushings and rear shocks were installed by owner. The dual exhaust system required new mufflers and tailpipes to update. The previous owner had the original 360 cu in V8 motor replaced with a new long block 390cu in motor. The supporting receipts are included along with the original owners manual. The ignition system overhaul included a new ignition coil, new distributor cap, new rotor, new points and condenser. The factory equipped air conditioning is intact but the compressor does not operate. A new 1 month old battery was installed as part of the project. A new AM/FM radio antenna was purchased and installed. The owner applied Valspar base coat/clear coat black paint to the exterior body. The bed was removed sanded and a polyurethane under coat applied. New windshield and rear glass including new gaskets/seals were installed. The fuel system work included a flush of the fuel tank, repair of the sending unit and a new fuel pump. The seat and door panels were reupholstered by Eagle-Eye Classics of McAlester, Oklahoma. The dash was not replaced/repaired and has cracks showing typical for the vehicle age. A new headliner, new carpet and a new custom steering wheel was installed by the owner. New cab roof lights were installed. This vehicle is being sold “as is where is” and is the responsibility of the winning bidder to arrange for pickup/transportation of this vehicle. The current owner will assist the winning bidder with transportation/pickup coordination if requested. Please ask questions before bidding. Good luck bidding.
