Vehicle Detail

1979 Pontiac Phoenix 4 door - nicely optionedCar was purchased new in 1979 in the Seattle area and driven until it was parked in a garage in 1999. It was periodically started and driven a few miles each year at which time the oil was changed each time. Car was parked with 99,000 miles on it. I purchased the car and was impressed what a nicely optioned car this was.• 305 V8• Console shift automatic• Full gauges including clock• Cloth bucket seats• Intermittent Wipers• Electric Rear Defroster• Dual remote sport mirrors• Factory AM/FM radio with aftermarket cassette player• Tilt Wheel• Body side moulding and door edge guard trim• Interior lighting packageEngine: 305 V8. Lifters were making noise so replaced them along with a hotter cam, new double-roller timing chain, water pump, alternator, radiator, fuel pump, battery, hi-flow intake and 600 cfm 4 bbl carb. Runs strong and smooth. Much better than the emission choked car that came from the factory. Starts and moves right of the line nicely.Transmission: Console shift automatic, smooth and nice shifts.Interior: Cloth seats, all in very good condition, virtually no wear at all on any of them. Carpet, door panels and trim all good. Driver door panel has some wear around the window cranks. Drivers arm rest is a weird looking blue compared to the rest. No cracks in the dash, all plastics are good and not sun damaged but some have started to fade.Exterior: Original paint is failing. Body is straight and rust free other than some spots of surface rust. No other rust or damage on the car. Typical GM paint failure on the drivers side of the car. Phoenix badges on both fenders in great shape. Glass in good shape all around. Mechanical: Brakes work, new pads and master cylinder. No exhaust leaks. Clock does not work. Transmission kick down cable is not attached due to the new carb/intake set up. Everything else work son the car.$500 deposit due at end of auctionCar is located Seattle.
