This auction is for an incredible Corvette Z06. It was purchase new by a close friend of mine. His goal was to take the already amazing Z06 and modify it to bea track day weapon that remained street legal. He installed many thousands of dollars in modifications in mods including: A complete coil over conversion, tubular adjustable sway bars, adjustable shocks, lowered and corner balanced and heim-jointed suspension links. To handle braking, the best of the best, StopTech brake conversion on all four corners-these brakes are far superior to the factory brakes. A short shifter, ram Air intake and filter, long tube headers, big alloy radiator, injectors and a tune add power. A custom carbon fiber "Gurney Flap" rear spoiler was added(necessary for high speed stability), Alcantara was added to the steering wheel and center seat inserts as was a harness bar, Valentine radar detector, data logger,etc. During my tenure as owner, I've installed a new clutch, alternator and serpentine belt, new front tires and a synthetic oil change. This Z06 is brutally fast, handles better than most exotics and stops like a race car. If you decide to do a driver ed event, track session with your local club or track group-it is very unlikely that there will be a car able to lap faster than this Z06. The mods were performed by a professional race shop and my friend used the car for a few track days and said it didn't matter whether of not he was running against TT Porsches, GTR, Ferraris ,etc-this Corvette was faster. Despite all the performance mods, this Corvette still has all of its creature comforts like AC, nice sound system, power everything. It still greats great mileage when cruising down the highway, idles in traffic without issue and runs cool. The Ls7 runs awesome and doesn't leak or burn oil. This Z06 has never been wrecked or damaged in any way and still wears its original paint. The interior is original and in excellent condition. I have the original factory headers for the car. My friend had a set of competition seats(GT3 type) and an additional set of very light wheels for track tires. These will be made available at extra cost to the new buyer if wanted. I have only driven this car a few thousand miles and am selling because I am reducing the size of my collection. Any issues? Not really. The heim jointed suspension ends are somewhat noisy on the street during low speed operation and the suspension is stiff over bumps. The Corvette cruises great on the highway though. In order to pass California smog, the long tube headers may have to be removed(depending on how close your smog guys does the visual inspection) and the tune needs to be reset to a milder state. I have done this when I have smogged the car and it passes without issue when this is done. It is not an issue in most states. In short, this is a fantastic Z06 with a known history and great mods. What a great opportunity to buy a great car with all the goodies at a huge discount. I am offering the car at no reserve. Sold "as Is" of course. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
