1963 Mercedes Benz 300SE Coupe. Just took this car in a trade for an XKE few days ago. Gorgeous Grey/Red Euro trim model for a true aficionado. Originally sold in Germany. Underwent partial restoration in 2004, including high quality paint job to original color, new red leather seats and carpets, most chrome is new, windshield is new, most body seals are new. Documented engine rebuild in 2004 by a BMW indie in Portland. Runs, drives and stops. Engine is very good, transmission shifts good, but needs resealed, as it leaks oil. Body is simply beautiful, no rust, original floors. Full stainless steel exhaust system. Woodwork could stand refinishing, but is in good shape. Seat leather is excellent. Headliner needs help, sunroof handle is missing. Speedo cable is broken. Most recent receipts indicate new starter motor and water pump. Air bags appear to have been replaced at some point and are still in good shape. I’m told the suspension will stay up for about 2 weeks. Car has been off the road since 2007. All in all an easy restoration. Data card, German registrations, importation documents and shop receipts since new, so no VAT if re-imported back to EU. Sold as-is, buyer responsible for shipping costs, but I will gladly help arrange shipping. Shipping to ports worldwide is $1300 and up, or $3000 for private container. US East Coast $900 or less.
