You are bidding on a 1985 Peugeot 505 STI sedan that I have owned since 1989. I loved this car and have owned several Peugeots over the years. I intended to work on the car but can not find time with two other project cars so I must sell her to make room in the garage. The car has two special features: a wooden steering wheel and european headlights that replace the factory stock issue and these items are both very rare to find. This is a no reserve auction and the car is being sold as-is without warranty. Please do not bid unless you intend to complete the purchase if you win the auction. The buyer must move the car within 10 days of the close of auction. Please examine the photos for a complete picture of the car and it's condition. Overall, the car is in good condition but shows the wear that a 30 year old car would have. No panels or body parts are dented and the paint is in good condition. The car has been parked in my garage for 4 years without being driven so the clutch pedal is frozen and the brakes need freeing. There is some surface rust in the rocker panels, engine compartment, trunk and floorboards but structural integrity is not compromised. The car has not been started in 2 years but the engine and 5-speed manual transmission were working fine the last time I started it. The interior leather seats are all in good condition except for the left bolster of the driver's seat where a 3 inch section of the seam needs to be resewn. There is also some rust on the sunroof panel. I have driven the car reliably for almost all of its life but I can not find time for all of the projects I have so it must go to make room... I am in Chicago so if a potential buyer wishes to inspect the car before bidding then please contact me to make arrangements to visit her. I purchased the vehicle from the original owner and there has been no accident history to my knowledge. The buyer must make arrangements for pickup and / or shipping of the car to its final destination. As the car has not been driven in 4 years, I would recommend transporting her using a flatbead or other transport rather than driving her to your location. Also, the license plates are not current so it would be unadvisable to drive her as it would be necessary to license the car before driving in traffic.
