Here is a nice example of the 1988 4runner.It runs really well on the highway.Transmission shifts perfectly.It needs something with the brakes, as the pedal is perfect at one touch, then travels further next time.It has all new brakes including new shoes and drums in rear, new pads and rotors in front and a new master cylinder.The engine, while a fine runner, does push coolant into overflow and after a couple hundred miles, I simply put the coolant in the overflow container back into the radiator. I am describing a need for a head gasket at some point.Tires are excellent.Factory steel wheels.Frame and undercarriage is in good condition.Starts and runs and drives fine.4 wheel system is excellent with locking front hubs and very good gas economy in all climates.I drive this vehicle daily and miles will be a bit higher as days go by, but it should still be under 130,000 miles at sale, no problem.Recent body work on rear quarters(amateur) but good and solid, now.Also new front fenders.Good amfm radio. original equipment. this is an unobused older vehicle.
