I purchased this cabover project this summer at a farm sale in Dodge City, KS. A lot of work was done on this truck by a professional body man from the area. This project appears to have started with a straight cab with only minor rust in the cab corners and a small area underneath the seat. All rusted areas were replaced with new metal and cab assembly only needs final block sanding to be ready for paint. Cab is mounted on a Ford motorhome chassis built in the 80's with a heavy duty suspension such as an F450 or F550. Heavy duty I-beam front suspension with power steering. Dually rear end with sway bar. Unsure of the rear end ratio used. 225 70R/19.5 tires with stainless steel simulators. Four wheel disc brakes-front and rear. Motorhome chassis is equipped with a Ford 460 engine topped with an Edelbrock performer 460 alum intake and a 750 Holley double pumper carburetor. The truck also has a Ford C-6 transmission with emergency brake. Driveshafts are included. Truck has radiator installed as well as brake lines and exhaust. Engine and transmission are mounted in the original position underneath the floor of cab. Overall length of truck is approximately 26'. Wheelbase is 228" and cab to axle is 15' or 180". Roof of cab to floor is 97". It is believed that the engine will run however I have not tried. It is free and turns over. This project is a great start to the cabover car hauler, lounge truck or whatever you can think of. I just don't have the time or the energy to complete this project.
