Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 GMC Suburban, just like a Chevy. It's pretty much all original including the paint, other than some spots that look like they were touched in decades ago. It's a 454 big-block, TH400 automatic, and a 14-bolt rear with probably 4.10 gears. It's a 3/4-ton. Runs and drives really well, and a couple years ago it towed a trailer to Oregon and back. I bought this from the second owner who had used it as a daily driver for 20-plus years, and he swears it has 347,000 miles on it (the odometer still works). He claimed the engine was rebuilt at some point. It has a Performer intake and headers. It makes no bad noises, trans shifts fine, brakes work well, and it has great one-finger power steering. When I bought it, the prior owner had recently replaced all the air conditioning lines for the front AND rear air, and they both blew cold. Now the front blower motor doesn't work, but the rear still does. The front end was aligned recently but has some wasted bushings. The new 33-inch Mickey Thompson tires have less than 7,500 miles on them. On the bad side, the rear springs are pretty saggy, the engine leaks enough oil that you can smell it when you're driving, the upholstery is totally wasted, and it has an electrical drain that will kill a battery over night.
