No RESERVE! 1948 Willys Jeepster Commando Phaeton convertible 4 wheel drive Less than 20,000 Jeepsters were ever produced between 1948 and 1950! 1951 models were assembled from 1950 model year parts. No NEW 1951 models were produced. This one has had a 4x4 conversion a LONG time ago with Willys/Kaiser parts. Closed knuckle front axle (Dana 20?30?35?) Kaiser Supersonic 6 /Continental Red Seal engine. turns by hand (not locked up) It says 'Supersonic' across the cylinder head. Kaiser-Frazier aquired the Graham-Paige assets in 1947 which used the Supersonic 6-226 engine built by Continental (aircraft engines) used in the post war Graham-Paige autos and industrial applications (forklifts/pumps/generators/etc until the 1970's) Lots of parts are available for this engine! Solid body tub! small holes near 'A' pillar solid floor, smallish hole under pedals. Top steel bows and supports still there, but wood bows are rotted has light bezels, fender steps, top latches, back bumper, some window trim, grille chrome, instrument panel, heater 1950 grille/hood added a long time ago Good restore project, hotrod, or parts car for old Jeep enthusiasts.
