Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1972 LT1 Corvette. This car is the correct "Ontario Orange" with deluxe saddle interior, 4-Speed, power steering, power brakes and tilt. In 1972 GM put the L in the vin number of the LT-1 corvettes only. Limited production of only approximately 1700 total cars built, making it very rare and collectable. This car received a frame off restoration approximately three years ago. The vin number is still visible on the drivers rear frame rail and is matching numbers. The numbers matching engine and trans were rebuilt along with a new clutch, new exhaust from manifolds to the bumper, fuel system restored, correct carburetor rebuilt, new fuel lines, new fuel tank and sending unit. Complete front and rear suspension rebuild, which included all new bearings and bushings Steering totally gone through, which included hoses, control valve and power assist cylinder. At the time of the chassis restoration all new brakes were installed which included master cylinder, brake booster, calipers, hoses and lines. The emergency brake system was a total rebuilt along with cables, shoes and spring kit. The car received a new radiator. The head lights were also rebuilt using new pivots, springs, actuators were cleaned and painted. Ignition shielding (not pictured) is included. All the small parts removed from the chassis were sand-blasted and painted at the time. Original parts were used where possible and correct reproduction parts were used in this mechanical restoration. The windshield frame and bird cage are in great shape. The body was painted a few years prior to the chassis restoration - not sure what materials were used but appears to be decent quality and the car does show well. All GM body panels and bonding strips look great. The interior is clean, the seats were restored, new carpeting, misc. What appears to be the correct jack is in place along with the correct orig looking spare. There was a lot of effort put into this car and at the time of the build there was no intention to sell it. New Dunlop tires were just installed and have less than 5 miles on them. Car drives great! Please call for more details 239-682-3285 Please click the links below to hear a video of it running. Don't forget to turn up your volume. Video does no justice for how good this car sounds in person. http://vid910.photobucket.com/albums/ac303/gtsdan97/72%20LT-1/MVI_4482_zpsqdf6ggis.mp4 http://vid910.photobucket.com/albums/ac303/gtsdan97/72%20LT-1/MVI_4503_zpsasb99996.mp4 .
