Vehicle Detail

Ford 352 "FE" engine3 Speed manual transmission (Borg Warner TS9 I believe)25,000 miles on the odometer but this is most likely 125,000 or 225,000 miles.I bought this wagon with the aspirations of restoring and doing a big turbo engine swap. I ultimately decided that I'm more of a VW enthusiast than I thought and want to continue working with Volkswagens instead. It would make a cool lowrider or classic car restoration, I just have other goals these days. The car is currently my daily driver which runs and drives well. I've had the pleasure of driving many hundreds of miles and found that it gets anywhere from 10-12 MPG while driving economically and spiritedly at times. It is currently running pretty well at altitude. Here in Durango, CO the altitude is about 7000ft, and it came from New Mexico with an elevation closer to 5000 ft.I rebuilt the carburetor and replaced the spark plugs, ignition coil, and battery. I replaced most of the bulbs as well, so now the dash illuminates and the brake and headlights work great. I replaced all four suspension shocks as well so it doesn't bounce all over the road. The paint isn't the best and if you're concerned with things like that then there is a 1/2 gallon of the same blue paint that will be included so that you, or a shop can repaint or touch up. The interior door panels and trim would probably need to be painted as well since they don't match. Some of the glass panels have BB shots (apparently the previous owner had a problem with neighbor kids taking pot shots). I hear that it's not hard to replace but I haven't checked into pricing. The windshield is cracked.I had keys made for the door locks and I replaced the ignition cylinder so there is a full set of keys with spares. I have a big box or parts that I ordered when I first bought the car that I can no longer return so I'll just be throwing it into the deal - brake drums, hoses, rebuild kits, spare headlights, suspension bushings, all sorts of stuff. There is a rust hole in the trunk area just aft of the wheel well. It's not visible from the trunk and is covered by the carpet but that was really the only rust I could find. It was a desert car so not a lot of humidity. This car could potentially be driven back home, but you should bring tools and AAA just in case. Also, there isn't a spare tire but I can put a jack into the car for a journey home. I have it registered in Vermont so make sure to check with your DMV about transferring ownership from a "no title" state - Vermont does not issue a standard title like most states. I'm only going to accept bids from folks that have good feedback and have had at least 5 transactions. I have shipped and received many vehicles through auto transports so if you have any questions about shipping a vehicle I can try to answer through my experience. The first thing to do is start getting quotes from auto shippers and reading their reviews online - Other than that, the process is pretty simple, just follow the shippers instructions. Feel free to ask any questions about the car, I'm happy to answer. On Nov-12-14 at 07:47:19 PST, seller added the following information: A couple of things that should be mentioned - The AM radio sometimes works but I haven't spent the time to troubleshoot, and the coolant gauge doesn't register however the sending unit works great (I keep an ohm meter connected to make sure there are no problems with overheating). Like I said, this is my daily driver currently and all the other electrics work (lights, gauges, signals, etc).On Nov-14-14 at 11:33:52 PST, seller added the following information: See the video of the car running, driving and close up inspection (you may have to copy and paste this link): http://youtu.be/_0VeTqkPogo
