1999 Isuzu VehiCROSS This is an Amazing and Unique Vehicle and this one is my 3rd VehiCross.I purchased this Astral Silver VehiCross in Jacksonville FL February of 2007 and I have owned it ever since. This vehicle is an Attention Getter! When I was taking pictures for this listing, I was bombarded by people by the Bay and at the Marina asking questions about this new vehicle that they have never seen before. They were amazed to find out that it was built 1999. If you are not familiar with a VehiCross it does not drive like a normal vehicle. It is a cross between a Sports Car and a Jeep Wrangler. It has 215 Base Horse Power, a tight suspension and you feel the road. It has AWD, all wheel drive, and has TOD, Torqued on Demand. The Torque on Demand will distribute power to front and rear wheels differently as needed. If you gun it from a stop it will divide the power front to rear 50/50 and the faster you go it will drop the power to the front from 50% to 15% which makes the front to rear ratio 15/85. I have never off roaded this vehicle, and have only placed it into 4 low once, just to do it. Only 4135 VehiCross were imported into the United States and only 1021 Astral Silvers. The Good:New Paint, just a few months old.Carbon wrapped hood insert.Interior looks great. Brand new in dash DVD player with 10 inch sub.No issues with the AC or Heater. I will try to be as thorough as I can with known issues. I was recently a victim of purchasing my wife’s Mercedes from a dealer in south Florida who did not represent the vehicle honestly. I don’t want anyone to feel like I did. We have a 100 percent positive feedback and I want to keep it that way. The issues with this 15 year old: The CV axles will click during cold weather and tight cornering, the right side needs to be replaced. I replaced them a few years ago and I am disappointed with the brand that I used. The front end feels loose on asphalt highways that have ruts. The power windows roll down fine but will tilt forward when rolling them up which is a common issue with the Vehicross. Window tint on passenger window needs replacing. Driving lights are not hooked up. Passenger door pull handle is cracked see it taped in the pictures. I installed new seat covers over the worn Recaro seats. The passenger side was ok but the driver’s side is just worn down. Chrome on the wheels has some damage. HID/Halogen headlights look better and you can see better when they stay on dim which is the HID. The oil needs to be checked regularly due to all Vehicross have disappearing oil levels. Vehicle does not smoke nor have leaks. The check engine light comes on and off intermittently. It has been doing that since I purchased it. The original code was the EGR valve, I replaced it twice and the light would still come on, since it did not drive any different I left it as is. I've been to The rear seats can easily be removed in a minute by two quick release pins, note the pictures with the rear door open. The reason we are selling. We bought my wife a 7 passenger Mercedes and I am driving her Expedition which seats 9. We have two boys that play football and travel baseball and we carry players and equipment in different directions and need the bigger vehicles. We also only have room for two vehicles at our house.
