i bought the car when i was 16, been rebuilding it ever since with my dad ive been working on it about 3 and half years, starting with the engine, its a 283 (original block) the bottom end was rebuilt by a shop. they cleaned the block remained it and bored it .40 over. they rebuilt the whole bottom end as well, they installed new rods pistons seals ect. they also installed new parts i had for it, double roller time chain, steel crank, mild cam. the heads were original but were rebuilt and remained, new rockers, msd distributor ngk plugs new wires, freshrebuilt altalernator, new high flow waterpump, the intake,carb,and fuel pump are all the edelbrock performer series (all polished, double pump fp, 4brrl 550) stainless braided fuel line and tranny lines, everything on the engine is new, (if i was going to sya how many miles were on the tranny and engine together itd definitly be less than 20 miles), i cleaned the gas tank (no rust at all ) replaced the sending unit new fuel filter and fuel lines. the transmission is a Powerglide, case is original the rest has been rebuilt with all new perfomance parts new converter and built with a beefyer first gear very responsive. i took out the ac, and slicked the firewall and painted it really clean. i replaced the master cylinder and replaced all the wheel cylinders. the exhaust is jegs long tube headers with custom polished hpipe and 2 chamber flowmasters with 3'' stainless all around. started installing a sound system but not wired up.the dash has plated polished stainless holding the new music player and the ignition. i did away with colomn shift and installed a lokar unimatic shifter, i also have a lokar kickdown cable for it, the back window had rust and holes around it but i replaced it with new metal and painted over with por 15, the front passenger floorboard has been replaced, the front windsheild and back kwindow are new (back window is factory tint) i havethe trim for the front and rear window just not installed but i recently just polised them. has original trim all around no rust just missing a few peices, i have the oringal hubcaps still, new bulbs around, car has been sanded down and painted with poxy primer (flat black), majority of the car mostly underneath has been painted with por 15 a very good rust stopping and rust preventative paint. i had this car running stong for alitlle bit but eventually the wires gave out, me and my dad were fixing a problem here and there with the wires keepin it running but after a while it wouldve been better and more time saving just to rewire the whole car, the main problem was arouind the igniton. the same with the radiator, we were repairing it but after a few repairs we tossed it, both wireing and radiatior were original. i have videos of the car running.
