Up for sale is a 2000 VW Passat Wagon with 123K miles. It is a grey wagon with black leather interior and woodgrain console/armrests. It has a 2.8L v6 30V engine and an automatic transmission. The interior is very nice, the drivers seat has a rip but thats it. All the other seats are in excellent condition. It has VW mud mats in the front too. Has a power sunroof too. Everything inside works great, cold ac that just had refrigerant replaced. Hot heat. Just had about 1200 in repairs done. New cam chain tensioner, have new cam position sensors to go with it, refrigerant just replaced, front passenger side cv axle replaced, rear wheel speed sensors replaced, new abs module, new tires all the way around, new valve seals in passenger side head. Should pass md inspection no problem. Has brand new brakes all the way around, and a synthetic oil change was done recently. The reason for selling is the timing belt snapped one day about a week ago and a local shop quoted me $800 to fix it. The abs module also needs recoded. That was an additional $100. I dont want to put any more money into it so its for sale. This is a great deal for someone that needs a commuter. If you can do the timing belt yourself, it should cost about $150. I looked around online and you are able to buy the tools to do it, and the timing belt, and the instructions on how to do it for about $100. Great little car with some cool features, 12v outlet in the rear for a tailgate party, 30mpg+/- and great acceleration when you need it. Transmission is in great condition along with the engine before the timing belt went. Trans also has tiptronic shifter so you can shift by hand when wanted.
