For sale is a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle Sport. It is yellow with black interior. The sport is loaded up with almost all the features you would get in the GLX like leather heated seats, power moonroof, upgraded Monsoon sound with 8 speakers and CD changer in the trunk, leather steering wheel, ASR anti slip regulation (traction control), fog lights. (The only features not in the Sport that you get in the GLX are auto dimming rear mirror and rain sensing wipers). The seats in the Sport are unique to the model with larger bolsters. This Sport has the solid black sport seats. The sport has the 5 speed manual transmission and the turbocharged 1.8 liter 150 horsepower motor with rear power spoiler. Great acceleration and fuel economy. 24/31 mpg. The VW/Audi 1.8 liter turbocharged motor has been an excellent and reliable one.This Beetle Sport also has the special 17 inch Sport alloy wheels. The interior is in excellent condition with only minor wear. No smoke, no kids, no pets. The exterior has some scrapes and a bump on the bumpers and a ding in the roof (size of a quarter). This beetle has just under 95k miles. It just had the big water pump and timing belt service done a few hundred miles ago. This is a recommended 90k mile service according to the VW owner's manual. It is around $1K, so if you are looking at a VW beetle, make sure you ask if this service has been done. Excellent tires (7-8/32 tread all around) and brakes (done at 90,800 miles). The engine is strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. There are some minor scuffs on the wheels. It also has a new battery. Clean clear California title in hand. Registered until next May. The car doesn't need anything. Everything works. Ignition coils inspected and replaced under recall. Just passed smog on 10/22/14. 2 keys. Owner's manual. Touch up paint. Service records included.
