Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1965 Mustang Fastback Extremely clean Arizona car with a solid body and frame. No rust. Terrific red and white paint scheme with matching interior Built at the San Jose facility Car has been restored and kept in original condition with a few upgrades: Manual drum brakesFactory power steering Dual exhaustUpgraded Red and White Pony interiorAmerican Racing rims w/ BF Goodrich Radial T/A tiresCobra dress up kitEdelbrock carb with performance jets/rods/springs and electric chokeT5 5-speed manual transmission and cable clutch assemblyKick panels with Pioneer speakersGrant Mahogany steering wheel with Ford emblem The 289 is strong and the car runs great with the 5 speed transmission. Enough torque and power at the low end for fun, and enough top end for good fuel economy on the interstate. The car does have two marks in the paint, located on passenger side above front bumper and on rear quarter panel extension(as shown in the photos), which is otherwise in fantastic shape and turns heads wherever it goes. I bought the car from a dealer in Arizona a few years ago, and since I've owned it, it has never seen anything other than a sunny day. Living in Buffalo NY, I don't get to drive it as much as I'd like to and it's a shame to keep it locked up. I'm hoping someone else will appreciate it as much as I do. I have the original C4 transmission, the original kick panels, and original steering wheel and all will be included in the sale of the vehicle in case you want to return the car to the original set up. The stereo has been upgraded to a period look unit capable of taking auxiliary input from an i-Pod(input cable is located in ashtray for a low profile), and because I can't stand cutting holes in old survivor cars that are this solid , I ran additional wires to the trunk for a set of rear speakers. The speakers are a TV sound bar, wired for the stereo input, that sit behind the fold down rear seat. They provide great sound, required no holes, and can be easily unplugged to retain the stock appearance of the car. Numbers are as follows: VIN door tag and fender stamp 5R09A156235, intake manifold C5AE-9425-M, engine casting C5AE-6015-E, rear diff WCZ-F 00 4KC 901, c4 trans C5OP-7976-A, steering HCC AW 4K24B. I'm not interested in trades and will not disclose the reserve price. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping through the carrier of their choice. I can provide additional pictures if necessary. Please ask all questions prior to bidding.
