Up for bids is my pride and joy! My 1997 BMW E36 M3 Sedan (A rare make in 4 doors) - This is one of the CLEANEST and WELL KEPT E36 M3s on the PLANET! OWNED by a TRUE BMW ENTHUSIAST! NEVER raced or abused! ALL STOCK! Blacked Out and VERY sharp looking! Car has PASSED California Smog and I have the CLEAR title in hand! There are NO issues with the title. Upon listing this car last week for the first time, I saw the vehicle history report that ebay ran and it appears there was an accident reported back in 1998 from the original owner, seems the knuckle head had some sort of accident BUT it must have been a MINOR one because the car drives EXCELLENT and has driven EXCELLENT since I bought it 8 years ago and about 90k miles ago and nothing bad is listed on the title. If you look at the date of the accident, it was in January of 1998, just a few months after the car was bought new. This is the SECOND E36 M3 sedan I have owned, so I know how these models should perform and handle. As you will read later in this description, it took me 2 years to find this exact car as ALL others I test drove had some type of issue OR I could tell it had either been in an accident or abused! So although the car history is news to me, the car still performs GREAT and is in EXCELLENT running condition and cosmetically is near IMMACULATE! There has been NO accidents since I have owned the car and no one else besides me has driven it! I am a BMW enthusiast, especially in the M class! It took me 2 years to find this exact car in the NONE ABUSED condition! As everyone knows, these cars are extremely difficult to find in such condition. I bought the car 8 years ago with about 64k on the odometer and it now has 150,500k+ and I continued to use it as my daily driver up until a week ago when my new BMW arrived. I would love to keep this car as I believe it is the BEST BMW that ever rolled out of the factory but I simply cannot afford the insurance on 2 BMWs here in Los Angeles. Being extremely OCD, I have maintained this car METICULOUSLY and have ALL service and repair bills. ALL parts on car are OEM or BOSCH except the 2 new Magnaflow CATS. Always best synthetic oil every 5k, always 91 octane Chevron fuel. Car was recently smoke tested and exhaust tested and has NO vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, or fluid leaks! This car was and still is kept in IMMACULATE condition both mechanically and cosmetically! Original paint still shines like it just rolled out of the showroom. This car is a true head turner and ALWAYS the car they valet park up front at the top hotels and restaurants here in L.A. Vanity / Special Interest license plates shown in pictures NOT INCLUDED! You will receive the car with regular California plates (registration good until Dec. 2014) The car was just smogged a few weeks ago and PASSED, so this baby is ready for new registration. Car also has HEATED FRONT seats which even come in handy here in L.A. during the winter, they work perfectly! Local bidders are welcome to come test drive vehicle and have checked out. And it seriously ROCKS! and POUNDS with bass! (I am an audiophile as well) system includes: Epicenter (Bass enhancement from Audio Control), 500 watt Precision Power mono amp, rockford Punch 12" sub in box, Alpine head unit, Rockford stiffining cap and Heavy duty Odyssey Battery. The stereo system itself cost me over $2k and sounds GREAT whether you listen to Rock, Jazz, or Rap! Everything installed is hidden well including the Epicenter dial installed next to the steering wheel. The box takes up only a few inches of trunk space so there is plenty of room for golf clubs or dead bodies. This car was always garaged kept, NEVER eaten or drunken in, no kids, no dirty wife, and no one has ever sat in the back seats since I owned the car! Car was NEVER parked on the streets the entire time I owned the vehicle! If a parking lot wasn't available where I was going, I would cab or Uber it to my destination. Original paint that was maintained properly so still shines like showroom condition! Mostly freeway miles in no traffic. Car has always and still is parked in corner spots AWAY from all other cars to avoid dings or even being breathed on wrong! That being said, the car IS 17 years old and with age, comes small imperfections. There are 1 or 2 TINY dings on the side of the car, but you would never even know they are there unless you really looked for them on an angle! They are so tiny, they were IMPOSSIBLE to even photograph and DO NOT effect the paint! But be aware they are there. I did my best to photograph the sides of the car with sun rising in order to capture them but it is hard to see. NO body damage at all otherwise! This car is being sold "as is" so please see list below of all recent repairs and "Not so perfect" MINOR issues: Recent Service: (ALL parts OEM/Bosch except new CATS) Car Was Smogged A few weeks Ago and PASSED. 150,400k - NEW oil filter, oil, air filter change 150,400k - NEW Magnaflow California legal catalytic converters installed (5 year/50k warranty) (See Picture) 150,400 - Brake fluid flush (Brakes still have almost full pads, like new) 144,710 - Professionally had OEM M3 rims powder coated black ($1200) 144,246 - NEW Complete coolant system replaced 141,000 - NEW 4 tires S-04 Pole positions (GREAT tires) and NEW rear bushings 138,500 - NEW motor mounts, NEW transmission mounts, NEW Drive Shaft, NEW Odyssey Battery (High performance for stereo system) 138,000 - NEW professionally replaced entire headliner throughout entire car including sides ($1k)137,000 - Also had climate control E36 factory issue FIXED PERMANENTLY (This issue as ALL E36 owners know, was a factory issue where the climate control would have a mind of its own and turn on and off when it wanted to. This has been FIXED by another BMW enthusiast that had to perform the simple soddoring job on the circuit board) The AC blows nice and COLD, and Heat works perfect as well! The Not So Perfect: (These items are NOT new issues, they were like this when I bought the car 8 years ago, except headlight crack) MOST of the items are KNOWN issues with ALL E36 BMWs (Google and see) and ALL are minor and do NOT need fixing unless you desire to do so. - Airbag Light comes on when it feels like it (Hasn't come on in over 1 year, but may) - Brake Light Circuit light comes on when headlights are first turned on (Brake lights work perfect) - At times the transmission gear symbols appears with Check Engine light (usually just the gear symbol comes on though, tranny shifts smooth and light goes out by itself. Only comes on when it wants to. Could be once a year, or twice in 1 day, one never knows.) - ASC and ABS light comes on like clockwork exactly 22 minutes into each drive (Car drives perfect and no idea why these come on together) - Cracked front headlight, NOT leaking when rains, so haven't replaced it. (Was waiting to upgrade both to HID system) - OBC pixels going dead (Easy $65. repair send out OR buy a OBC on ebay and swap out for $100) - Odometer pixels going dead, can still read but faint. (Same places can repair as well) I have purchased a NEW BMW so that is the reason for me selling this one. There is NO other car worth getting into than a BMW, especially an M series!
