This is a 2003 Toyota Highlander for sale by owner. I have tried to provide as much detail as I can about this car so you can make an informed decision. Vehicle HistoryWe change the oil every 3-5K miles and do regular maintenance with a good mechanic. We have taken very good care of the car, I have provided a lot of pictures so you can get an idea of the condition. I can provide higher resolution versions of these photos on request. The AutoCheck report attached to this listing seems to say this car has had 3 owners. This is not true! This vehicle was originally leased in 2003 by my father in law. When the lease came up in 2006 my wife bought out the lease. We have owned it ever since. So technically there have been two owners but the first owner was my wife's father. I got a CarFax report for this car also. Note that they list this car as a one owner vehicle. View the CarFax Report In January of 2013 my wife ran into her sister's car in her own driveway. We had to get some body work done. Why are we selling?We're selling the car because we bought a minivan and we don't need two big vehicles. We acquired a used sedan that I will drive to work. ***VEHICLE NOTES***In November of 2011 we had to replace the engine in the Highlander because the head gasket started leaking and the bolts on the engine casing were stripped (I went to my mechanic for this explanation). The engine that is in the car now has approximately 40,000 miles on it. The car runs great so the engine should run for a LONG time! As I mentioned in the listing, this is a 4 cylinder Front Wheel Drive vehicle. It's great for road driving and gets excellent mileage for an SUV. The Highlander passed inspection in July so it's not due for reinspection until July of 2016. I put in a hook up for a classic iPod/iPhone. It will provide power and play audio through the car stereo. If you have a newer iPhone or Android device you can either get an adapter or purchase a different cable.
