Vehicle Detail

This is a mostly original Austin Mini MK1. It does have an MG1100 engine with the original type "magic wand" shift lever. It seems the transmission is geared for a car with 12" wheels. It also has the original push button starter button discontinued in the late 1960s, I believe. It runs, drives, and stops. It runs good, but it smokes at high RPMs. I bought this car from the super awesomely cool Larry the Mini guy (larrysminis.com) in 2012. It sat in his garage for 18 years, basically untouched. He bought it from a local guy who also let it sit for a long time. I bought it and let it sit for a long time too. It doesn't look like it but the Mini has a lot of new parts. I bought $1,500+ worth of parts for it and Larry put most of them on. I can't find the list of parts but I'll try to list them below. The head for the engine was machined as well. It got new valve seats, cleaned, milled, and new valve guides. The engine got new head bolts, new heater control valve, heater control cable, spark plugs, wires, Petronix electric ignition, slave cylinder, heater hoses, radiator hoses, it has a new Super Cool 3 core (I think) radiator, multi bladed fan. The carbs got deluxe carb kits installed. The rear brakes have been upgraded to brakes from a 1984 or so Mini. They have twin shoes. There is also a new brake master cylinder and a new clutch master cylinder. I got a Hi Low suspension system for it, the rear ones have been installed, the front ones are still in the box and come with the Mini. I have a few used parts and some new ones that will come with the Mini. The body is in mostly original condition. It seems to have been bumped on the rear and the front, it's been repaired long ago by who knows. The hood doesn't really fit well or latch well. The rear of the car seems decent. A couple bumps. The Mini has neat Weller wheels. They are super rare in the US, so I've been told. I haven't seen another set. These are 10"x6". The Mini also comes with a set of 12" wheels, they look like Superlite wheels but I don't think they are. Comes with the lug nuts too. I have a grill for it but its in poor condition and should be replaced. The car has new rear tail lights. I have a clean Virginia title for it in my name. Virginia doesn't require a notary signature or for you to be present for the transaction. The mini runs but it shouldn't be driven to it's new home. That would be silly.
