Vehicle Detail

Hello and thanks for looking at my 1965 Dodge Coronet 500. I hate to let it go but could use the money for other projects. I had plans to make it a street/strip, Nostalgia Super Stock car. Some things have been done to it towards that end. I'll go over both the good and also point out the not so good about it. The car has a 361 big block and a 727 automatic. It runs, drives and stops very well. Has an excellent sound thanks to the TTI headers and exhaust. It has a great set of American Racing Torque Thrust D's and BF Goodrich Radial TA's on it. The lights, turn signals, wipers and horns work. It has excellent oil pressure and runs cool. The engine does occasionally smoke (probably valve guides or seals) and the car has only been driven short distances in recent years so I would recommend it be towed . I was planning on a 440 swap but had mainly concentrated on getting the car ready first and accumulating parts. The list of work done and parts replaced includes, TTI chrome big block headers TTI 3" mandrel bent X pipe exhaust Narrowing the 8 3/4 rearend 3" to fit the 8.5" Torque Thrust D's with a 275/60/15 tire Moser axles with 1/2" long studs and "green type" non-adjustable axle bearings Mopar Super Stock leaf springs and relocation kit to move the springs inboard Rearend currently has a 742 center section with a non sure grip 3.23 gear but for an extra price I can include a 742 clutch type sure grip with either 3.91 or 4.10 years Mopar Performance dual reservoir master cylinder to replace the stock single reservoir Line lock for the front brakes Edelbrock intake manifold QFT Holley 750 CFM vacuum secondary electric choke carburetor MSD plug wires Gauges ( tach, oil, water and volts) New Chrome bumpers front and rear Re chromed trunk trim panel Legendary Interiors: Complete, brand new but not yet installed interior, including, headliner, seat foams and seat covers, front and rear, also front and rear door panels Also I have most of the side trim for the car, but I am short one rocker panel trim piece WHAT THE CAR COULD USE: Patch panels for the lower rear corners of the front fenders. They have some bondo in them It will need some floor patches (no major holes, also I will include a used complete floor pan) Drivers side rear quarter has some putty above wheel opening (not done well, I will include a complete original excellent full quarter panel for a patch) Engine compartment inner fenders could use a couple of patches (once again, I will include a complete front end to use as you see fit) Here is a YouTube video link of the car titled 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 For Sale: http://youtu.be/3yIm_V5NgOs This is a nostalgic muscle car that can be daily driven as-is, taken to cruises and shows or to the track with minor work. Or it would be a good restoration project. The pictures, video and parts list tell the story but if you have any other questions feel free to ask them here or call me, John, at 816-510-6380. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. The car will not leave my possession until I have cash in hand or cleared funds in my bank account.
