My apologies for having removed the listing from last week. I wanted to make sure that the body condition was correct. My thanks to a lot of folks for their input! This car was bought by my Mother in-laws brother when he was going to Stanford university. It was then handed down to her in 1964 and driven till it was drained of all its fluids and put into dry secured storage from 1970 to 2003.When it was brought out the fuel tank was removed and cleaned and the fuel pump was rebuilt and the engine was given a complete inspection. It was then taken to the local Porsche dealer and the entire brake system was flushed and necessary parts replaced. It was then handed down to her daughter and I. The engine code is P64808. Paint code is 607 Vin is 59065. Engine cover and front trunk lid are numbers matching. The spare tire wheel date is 11/56 The car sustained some superficial damage to the right front fender around the headlight bezel area in 1967. Instead of hammering out the damage and using body filler the body shop obtained a factory front skin and used what they needed to complete the repair. Its very undetectable an amazing job was done. I couldn't see it. It was at this time the car received its only repaint. The only rust is a small hole in front of the battery and some small bubbles at the bottom outside of the passenger door. The rest of the car is rust free even the lower rocker panels and undersides of the doors. My father in law had the seats and dash pad re-upholstered and carpet installed around 1968. He also added seat belts. There is a wool type of carpeting that is throughout the interior that is original. Headliner is in great condition as are the door panels. All electrical works with no issues. Its still 6 volt. All glass and even the windshield wiper arms are original. Carbs are the original correct Solex pbic 32's. Engine does not smoke and trans shifts as new. Clutch doesn't slip and feels good. It drives solid with no rattles. Please DO NOT ask me to remove the listing early for any reason. Thanks!
