Vehicle Detail
Here is a super clean and well maintained 2003 Ford Excursion. The original owner bought this truck from Palm Springs Ford and kept it for over 10 years! This one is the XLT Premium model and has only 101K Low Miles. The 6.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel motor makes 325 hp 560 ft-lb torque and runs absolutely as new. The truck is completely stock and unmodified. It is 2-wheel drive, seats 8, has leather, power windows, power locks, power driver and passenger seats, cold A/C, 6-disc in dash CD changer, rear seat DVD entertainment system, reverse sensors, and tow package for towing up to 11,000 pounds. It does not leak any fluids and has been in the California desert since new. It has never been in an accident (clean CARFAX / AutoCheck) and has all original paint except for the rear double doors under the hatch. Blue Book Trade-in: $11,700. Private Party: $14,400. Retail: $16,500. Must Sell! This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it is no longer available. I originally bought this to replace my 1999 Suburban, but have since decided to get a smaller SUV and so it has to go. Hear is a list of things that could use some attention: 1. The rear doors below the hatch have been repainted. It has excessive orange peel and there is evidence of body filler that was not smoothed-out completely in one spot as if it was filling a large dent. 2. The repaint on the double doors was done without removing a "flame" emblem that was around the blue oval on the right door so the clearcoat is uneven in that area. 3. The vehicle has a vibration above about 65 mph - nothing serious - just as if a wheel is out of balance. 4. Both right-side "door open" sensors are bad - a common problem on Ford Super Duty trucks. 5. There is a large scratch on the right quarter panel. The indentation around it could probably be pulled out with paintless dent removal, but there would still be some spots that needed touch-up paint. 6. The paint on the roof is fading at the leading edge and the rear due to the California desert sun. 7. The rear hatch struts are weak and should be replaced. 8. The handle that slides the right side second row seat forward for access the the third row is broken (the seat still works fine). 9. The rear hatch lock was frozen when I bought the truck and had broken the plastic arm on the actuator. I freed it up and lubricated it with a moly grease and it works well with the key, but doesn't lock with the power locks.
