This has been my shop truck and served me well. It's a rust free solid1978 Ford F100 Ranger.The yellow book that you see in the pictures are a log book that the original owner kept from the pickup of vehicle on.Also with it is the original owners manual.This truck has good bones and is the perfect one to restore or hotrod.It has the 300 inline 6 with the C6 transmission and a 9" rearend.This drive train would handle any engine.The C6 was new about 13000 miles ago and shifts flawlessly.It also has power steering and brakes and handles and stops beautifully.The motor every since I had the truck has a rattle when first started in the morning for just a moment til the oil pressure comes up and then it's fine.I always turn it over without letting it start to let the pressure come up.I've driven it many miles with no problems.The only rust on the truck was on the drivers side floor which I had professionally repaired with a floor pan from LMC Truck.All rust was cut out,coated in Rust Mort,welded top and bottom,seam sealed and undercoated.At the same time I put in a new mat also from LMC.The cause of the rust was from the windshield leaking.The windshield is cracked on the passenger side and should be replaced with a new rubber so no more leaks.Guy that does my glass said he could replace for $275 and I can have that done for the new owner,if wanted,for my cost.The only Paint that is not original is the hood and a small spot on the bed below the gas cap door,that had a small puncture from a fork from a forklift.The paint was original code,but didn't match it as well as I would have liked.The inside of the bed is not beat up at all.There are just a couple of small dents on the tire wells and the paint is pretty good.The interior is pretty nice with no cracks on the dash.The original seat covers are under the indian blanket cover but has some seams coming loose.All the electric is in good shape and everything works except the radio and I believe that it is the speaker wires.It has new stock muffler and tail pipe replaced about 3000 miles ago and sounds good with no leaks.It still has the original jack under the hood and the handle behind the seat.I didn't get any pictures behind the seat and not much under the truck but all is clean.It also has the spare tire carrier underneath.
