Vehicle Detail
1968 Travelall C1100 4x4 Looking for a Travelall for a winter project? Then this truck might be perfect for you. This Travelall was built with the good stuff. THE GOOD STUFF or why I bought this truck This trucks was optioned out very nicely from the factory. It has: · Double rear doors · 345 V8 · 5 speed overdrive transmission · NP202 gear driven transfer case · Power brakes · Saginaw power steering gearbox (NOT the hydraulic ram assist) · 4.10 final drive ratio · Dana 60 limited slip rear axle· Dana 44 front axle· Factory overload springs · Trailer hitch The paint is original and it was a special ordered by the buyer. Until I bought the truck it spent its life in the western states. I purchased it in Utah. Although the front fenders are bad, there is almost no rust from the cowl on back. 1 spot of rust near the back bumper shown in picture with the Boulder CO dealer emblem. Floorboards are solid. THE BAD STUFF or why this truck is a project. This truck was running and driving when I bought it 7 years ago. I bought it to restore but I never got to it. It was stored inside a garage. But because it was stored so long, this Travelall needs work, and it will need to be transported. It does roll and steer, but no brakes. It sat inside a garage for 7 years, and it need some things: · Separate brake and clutch master cylinders need replacing-or rebuilding · Fuel tanks will need to be flushed out · The big side windows are cracked and 1 rear door glass is cracked · Heater is not connected (I assume the core is bad) · It needs front axle locking hubs. · Tire and wheels are “rollers” only Parts I’ve purchased and including with the sale · Excellent hood to replace the dented hood · Good heater unit (original unit is not connected and I assume it’s bad) · Lower driver’s door hinge (one on truck is broken. This truck needs a lot of work but it shouldn’t need any big dollar Items. This truck has a lot of potential for someone with the time to work on it. I have installed a good battery in the truck and it does fire and run if you pour a little gas into the carburetor. I have spent more money on this truck and the parts than I am asking for it, but I let it sit too long and I know I have to take a loss. Feel free to make me an offer if you think my asking price is too high. Thanks.
