This 1978 Camaro runs very well. The body is in great shape; it was originally dark gray and was professionally repainted in 2000. There are several dings and scratches since it has been driven for 14 years now. It has not been driven in the winter since I have owned it, and it is always kept in a garage. The only rust is in front of the right rear wheel and is easily repairable. The engine was professionally rebuilt by a race shop here in Dayton around the year 2000 as well. It was built to be close to 300hp, and it is still very strong running. I have never had any problems. The transmission is a four speed Saginaw and was rebuilt by a Muncie expert last year, so it has all new gaskets and the bearings and gears are in good condition, but sometimes it has to be pressed a bit to go into first gear, and pulled with some force to come out of third gear. I am used to it and it runs just fine for me, but it needs to be adjusted to fix the issue. A new clutch was installed about two years ago, so it probably only has 3,000 miles on it. The body and interior are from a 1981 Berlinetta, and the front frame and suspension are from a 1978 Type LT that came with the 350 engine and manual transmission. The car is missing the emergency brake and all of the heating and air conditioning parts; the turn signals don't work correctly either, so the car needs some work. It will be a great car for the right person.
