I love this van, but my family outgrew her a few years ago, and after the engine froze one day I never got around to inspecting/fixing it. With no time and not enough seats for the 8 of us she has been sitting for over a year and needs to go to someone who can fix and appreciate her. (The manual transmission had no problems at the time the engine seized up.) Features: It is the unique VW vanagon camper. These are a very special breed of vehicle! This is the air-cooled round headlight version from 1980. These engines really just have an engine and an alternator. I love the simplicity of these beauties of ingenuity. Condition: Well enjoyed, but well used in the process: This "as is" vanagon has a variety of interior cosmetic/small problems. Beat up interior with poorly painted over cabinets in blue/white peeling paint. Original front seats in bad shape. Back seats stained. Back cushion over engine needs to be replaced or fixed. Stove works, sink pumps, and fridge was cool (not cold) when I used it over a year ago... but all not pretty looking. I replaced front passenger seat with rare double seat from older bus so 3 can ride in the front, but this was not even close to properly done. I also rigged the back 2 seater bench with 3 point tie downs to fit 3 car seats. All these extras allowed my wife and four children at the time (six passengers) to enjoy camping in the van but I'd guess this setup can't be legal. (If possible, I encourage all bidders to contact me to arrange an inspection of the vehicle!) Shipping and payment: Pick up only. The vehicle will need to be towed. I have no knowledge of auto delivery services so I cannot provide that.
