Vehicle Detail
I have to sell my beloved 1987 Mercedes 560SL roadster. This is a two-seater V8 BEAST in refined clothing. This car really moves. Extremely powerful, luxurious, slick, and reliable. I have never had a mechanical issue with this car in the time I've owned it but I have turned a lot of heads. I consider the 560SL one of the most perfect sports cars you could get for NYC. It has steel bumpers, a soft top for the summer and a hard top to keep the snow out. The engine is very reliable and all mechanical so you won't have any computer glitches or freezes like newer models. The '87 is the prime find - it's essentially the same body on the SL series from the mid-70's but with the most recently manufactured materials. Here's a way to buy a really classic car without all the problems that come with a really ancient vehicle. All four Michelin tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. New battery a few days ago. New brakes all around. New oil pump and new cooling wires. New spark plugs. New Bluetooth radio. Interior is 100% original and in Excellent A+++ condition. No cracks in the dashboard. Speakers functioning. Leather is lubricated and luxurious. Matts are clean and like new. No cracks in the glass. Exterior has a few dings as shown in the pictures. Overall I would have liked to repaint it but I ran out of time with this car. Small dent in the passenger-side front headlight area and bend in hood. Easily overlooked or fixed, whatever you choose. Car takes Premium unleaded. All headlights, tail lights, switches, electric windows, electric locking mechanism, alarm, electric side-mirror adjuster, telescoping antenna - all perfectly functional. Soft top is 100% good to go - has a patch at top. If you want to be really slick you'd replace the current top with a new navy blue or brown one - but you don't need to. When this car came out it cost upwards of $60,000 - that's $124,000 in 1987. And you can tell. I drive a jeep now and when I get in the Mercedes it's like going to another planet all together. Like a combination airplane cockpit and cocktail bar. Your passengers will love it. Please get in touch with questions. Email or message me for more pictures. eBay will not allow me to post the link but I am hosting a website with 64 photographs of the car... Please ask to see them!! http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p714/andreirimski/9X4A9537_zpsaf3d55d3.jpg
